THE DETAILS!

Join a fun 2-hour freediving adventure for experienced and qualified freedivers (Level 1 - PADI Freediver or equivalent) on the stunning Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

This adventure dive is about exploring the best Port Phillip Bay has to offer with the prevailing sea and weather conditions on the day.

Sites such as Popes Eye Marine Park and Chinaman's Hat Seal Haul-out are regular favourites! But other reef areas may also be explored when conditions allow.

Freediver members will adore the adventure to see the most fun parts of the Bay. A great opportunity to explore with a buddy and swim with abundant fish and diverse marine life that isn't always seen near the shore and pier dives.

Diving in buddy pairs, you will explore safely drawing upon your level of experience and training. The Boat Captain will ensure the adventure makes the most of the best conditions and sites on the day.

The dive departs from the Sorrento Boat Ramp Jetty in Sorrento, original land of the Boonwurrung people, site of the first European Settlement in 1803, and passes beneath the up to 20-million year old unique calcarenite cliffs of the Mornington Peninsula National Park. Beneath the water lay the vast chain of the Great Southern Reef and its unusual yet often majestic marine life.

Extending around Australia’s southern coastline is a series of reefs holding some of the most productive ecosystems on the planet. The Great Southern Reef features extensive kelp seaweed forests that support many marine species that are not found anywhere else on Earth. Home to a variety of marine life including fur seals, zebra fish, little penguins, bottlenose dolphins, rays, giant cuttlefish, spider crabs, sponges, kelp and seadragons.

You and your friendly buddies will enjoy exploring the incredible diversity and magic of our mysterious underwater world.
