Snorkelling is the easiest and best way to enjoy the underwater world in the simplest and safest way. • You will be prompted to select an optional certification. You can choose not to have any certification

If you're already snorkelling and dreaming to develop better techniques to duckdive, equalise your ears, use weights to manage your buoyancy and snorkel safely with other buddies, this course is the perfect next step.

Bring your own equipment, and if you don't have a weightbelt of your own, you can simply choose to hire one. You must bring your own mask, snorkel, wetsuit and fins for health and safety reasons. You MUST be able to swim and be in good physical health to make sure you gain the most from the course. 

The PADI Skin Diver course is your chance to begin to bridge the gap between the beginnings of snorkelling, and becoming a freediver. This professional level course is for each of you that wants to experience the underwater with better skills, more comfort and with safety and buddy skills that you can share with your friends. You will begin to discover the beauty and harmony of moving freely under the sea.

The PADI Skindiver course is the perfect way to take your snorkelling, skindiving and underwater photography to new levels. With knowledge and expertise shared from an award-winning marine tourism operator, someone who doesn’t just talk about it, someone who lives and breathes it as their profession! All shared with a friendly smile and without the pressure of performance.

This half-day experience provides you with all the foundation skills including:

• PADI Skindiver knowledge and theory
• Real world snorkel excursion planning exercise
• Ear equalisation demonstration and practice
• Gear selection tips and equipment familiarisation
• In water coaching for core snorkelling & skindiving skills incl duckdive, finning, snorkel use, buoyancy & weighting
• Buddy system, safety training and rescue simulations

Successful completion results in the award of an optional PADI Skindiver certificate, or VET SISOSNK001 Snorkel qualification (make your selection during the booking process, additional fees apply).

Course Structure

• Part 1 - Online theory with your instructor via zoom-style session
• Part 2 - In-water training to learn how to use snorkelling gear and be safe in the water and with buddies (shore dive, or pool if foul weather forecast)

Course Timetable

• Up to 1.5hr Online Classroom theory and knowledge development
  
• Up to 2hrs in-water training for snorkelling skills and safety (depending on size of group)

Terms & Conditions:

• Course is held in East Gippsland, VIC
• All Students must be minimum 12 years of age, or minimum 18 years of age for PADI RTO #6729 SISOSNK001 qualification
• Please arrive at the practical training location 15 minutes before commencement time to ensure you have enough time to check in and get dressed in your snorkelling gear (location will be confirmed by your instructor)
• Please dress comfortably
• Please bring a bag with your swimmers, wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel, weightbelt, a towel and your own re-usable water bottle. 
  
• Guests must be able to swim. Courses do not cater for people with no swimming ability. The Instructor retains the right to refuse participation in which case your attendance is forfeited
  
• Guests with back, neck, or heart conditions, those who are pregnant or who have injuries/conditions that may cause a risk to their health are advised not to participate, or do so at their own risk
• A diving medical (AS4005.1) may be required prior to commencement of the course
  
• All participants under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian sign all applicable waiver/medical forms
  
• Subject to availability and you will be contacted to reschedule if your selected date is unavailable (Full refund provided if course unable to be confirmed by supplier)
